After 20 years working in communications, marketing and content at companies including Disney, YouTube, Google[x], Facebook, Instagram, Aura and Michaels, Anna Richardson White founded Kentcali, a media production and communications consultancy, where she helps startups craft and share their own stories and develops her own creative projects.

Anna advises early stage startups, providing marketing and communications strategy to clients aiming to improve peoples’ lives through AI-driven technology. She guides organizations and individuals on communications strategy and brand building so they can help more people and communities heal. Her focus is on helping innovative, mission-driven technology companies and leaders build products that truly help individuals live better lives.

In terms of her own creative projects, Anna recently finished her first short documentary, “Appalheads,” about her family's 55+ year legacy making art and media in Appalachia. The film has screened nationwide at more than 20 festivals and will be distributed widely in 2026. Anna also hosts a podcast called “Homeplace” where she talks with a fascinating range of guests about the importance of the places we call home.

A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, University of Pennsylvania (BA with Honors in International Relations; BA in French), and the London School of Economics (MS in Political Sociology), Anna now lives in Carmel Valley, California, with her husband, two children, several animals, and a collection of more than 60 vintage quilts that she sells through her retail brand Appalachian Culture Club.

She is an active member of the Chartwell School Board of Trustees, St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, and the Pebble Beach Club. She also serves on the board of Appalshop, the arts nonprofit her parents founded in 1969, still located in her hometown of Whitesburg, Kentucky.
